Priced at $34.95, the ISoftwareTV software is the cheapest “satellite tv on pc” type software I could find online. The video quality of most of the tv channels is pretty good – about the same as for the “Satellite TV for PC 2009″ software series – but ISoftwareTV is considerably cheaper.
Although ISoftwareTV is the cheapest software I found, it may or many not give you the best value for your money (depending on how you look at it). I chose to pay $5 more and get the Direct TVPC software with 6000 more channels than ISoftwareTV. However, if 3000+ channels are enough for you, then ISoftwareTV may be a good choice for you.
All in all, I do recommend the ISoftwareTV program – it gives good value. However, I still prefer the Direct TVPC Software – see what I have to say about it by clicking here.

I just moved last month and instead of getting cable tv installed, I got isoftware tv instead and found it to be a pretty good alternative. Some of the channels are broken but with so many channels to flip through I’m not complaining. I mainly watch sports and the occasional movie or two and it’s serving me well. Happy with my purchase.
We’re a big family of middle-aged adults, seniors and grown “kids” so fighting for the remote had become a daily ritual. That was until we bought and installed i software tv on every computer in the house. Now everyone gets to watch whatever they want in their own room. You can’t compare that with our big-screen tv, but it sure beats having to watch cheesy soaps with grandma every afternoon!
